I’ve won the Leicester Writes Short Story Prize 2025

I finally have some news worth posting: my story My Time at the Poison Factory was awarded first prize in this year’s Leicester Writes Short Story prize, which saw around 400 entries from all over the world.

I’m delighted to have won, and to have had the chance to meet Farhana Shaikh from Dahlia Publishing who runs the prize – and the Leicester short story festival.

The prizegiving was a really nice chance to meet some of the other winners and longlisted authors. You can buy a copy of the compiled stories – including mine – from the Dahlia website here.
